Gah! I fell behind on my NaBloPoMo! I was supposed to post on Friday, yesterday and today! You’re getting two for the price of one today… I’ll just have to suck up that I missed the deadlines…. dang.
This week was a wonderful week. My sister went to pick up our mother on Sunday night to bring her back on Monday to spend the week with us. We just love passing her around from sister to sister! We got to take her to the movies, for lunch, made her dinner, went to see our niece’s art at Expozine…
I got a chance to go down memory lane, thinking of my Dad when I brought my youngest to the famous Wilensky’s for a Wilensky Special (one cannot have anything else! Especially when one hasn’t been in, oh, twenty years!
- Expozine
- Église Enfants-Jésus
- Wilensky’s since 1932
- Fairmont Bagels!
Gratitude List
-
Being able to have Mom over for a week, tossing her from one sister to the other!
-
Spending quality time one-on-one with my boy.
-
Having a Wilensky’s Special (fried baloney sandwich!), thinking of Dad, being able to share this with my son.
-
Eating a fresh, hot bagel, right out of the bag from Fairmont Bagels.
-
Having a friend – Lucy – get you a contract for a lunch at her firm.
-
Through word-of-mouth, getting yet another “family meal” contract.
-
Not getting the office job – who wants it if they don’t even respect potential candidates enough to call them and let them know they didn’t get it?
You have a truly lovely life, Dale.

Lovely post, Dale. Glad for you (and us) that you didn’t get the office job where I suspect you would have felt trapped.

Thanks Jean. It would still have been nice to have been notified… sigh… no respect!

It shows a remarked lack of manners… an example of today’s society, I’m afraid! Thank goodness not all are like that!

Who needs the office job when you can eat bagels, take these beautiful pictures and cook your fabulous meals!? I say stick to the job in the kitchen as long as possible…it allows for creativity AND happy customers (in your case Dale, I’m sure with every attempt!)

Indeed! I was trying to ease hubby’s monetary stresses but the Universe has provided by giving me two new contracts in one week! Woot! I admit I am happiest out with Zeke or my kids, camera in hand and in the kitchen stirring up something delicious! I have no complaints… 😉
