Wow… have I been so busy or so “stuck” I’ve not written all week? Sheesh! I just couldn’t come up with a decent 100-word story on this week’s Friday Fictioneers prompt and I decided to give myself a break. I did, however, submit my story to “Six Hens“, so fingers crossed they like it enough to include it in their very first publication!
No matter what went on during the week, it ended with a heart for Mother’s Day.
Gratitude List
-
Once again my heros were Sébastien and Aldo who gave up most of their day to drive to and from my mother’s to pick up my trailer. We’re talking four hours of driving in all..
-
While I emptied said trailer, they hooked up my new pump (of course the old one was scrap) to the pool.
-
Huge thank you to my cousin Sylvie and her husband for allowing me to ‘park’ my trailer on their lot so I could get more visibility to sell it.
-
Our kids (all 9 of them) worked together to create a fabulous brunch for my mother, sisters and me (and de facto the spouses). They did it all from prepping, cooking to cleaning up. Wow!
-
I am beyond touched that Bruce felt that I should be the one to get his John Mellencamp tickets as he could not attend. I have been feeling the love from friends in the most unexpected and generous ways lately. I feel so blessed.
A very Happy Mothers Day Dale!!! :O)

That Mother’s Day sounds as if it overflowed with love. As Andrea says, good luck with your story. Re Friday Fictioneers, I had the same problem as you, but with the prompt on the previous week. However hard I looked at the photo, there was a huge blank in the creative part of my brain!

It really did! Thanks, I’ll keep you posted! Happy to hear it doesn’t only happen to me! Yours was great this last Friday. Loved it. I refuse to fret any more about my lack of inspiration.
