Freshly Grown

@Jean L Hays

Sam scratched his head, dumbfounded. “Look at that!!! No way in hell I woulda believed it had I not seen it!”

“See? I told you!”

“Yeah, but seriously, Mark. How the hell did you do that?”

“Like I told you, all you have to do is plant ‘em at the right time of the year!”

“Stop it. You’re shitting me. I don’t know how you did it, but they did NOT grow up out of the ground like that.”

“I’m telling ya. I planted three Hot Wheels last spring.”

They walked away ~ Sam muttering under his breath; Mark smiling.

  2. LMAO, how marvelous! Dale, I’m overjoyed you decided to go against the grain, and resisted the obvious temptation of participating in Friday Fictioneers, and finally write something factual. This was very funny! 😀

  3. Dear Dale,

    Better than Jack and the Beanstalk. Even though Sam knows Mark’s pulling his leg, I’m sure there’s a corner of his mind that’s saying, “What if?” Perhaps he’ll plant a hot wheels car of his own. 😉

    Shalom,

    Rochelle

    • Thanks Janet! As I’ve read a bunch of the other FF stories, I’ve realized it was a real place. One of the stories mentioned Cadillac Ranch… I was planning on looking it up. Thanks for the link!
