Sam scratched his head, dumbfounded. “Look at that!!! No way in hell I woulda believed it had I not seen it!”
“See? I told you!”
“Yeah, but seriously, Mark. How the hell did you do that?”
“Like I told you, all you have to do is plant ‘em at the right time of the year!”
“Stop it. You’re shitting me. I don’t know how you did it, but they did NOT grow up out of the ground like that.”
“I’m telling ya. I planted three Hot Wheels last spring.”
They walked away ~ Sam muttering under his breath; Mark smiling.

ROFL, maybe I should try that, too… What a great idea.
Hee hee hee! Not too bad for a “quickie”?
Not at all… LOL
Thanks!
I’m with mark because that’s something I would say.
😁
Ah, there’s that mischievous Dale humor I know and love 🙂
😉 Couldn’t get into it the past two weeks! Couldn’t resist this week’s!
That is quite a feat!
Isn’t it though? 😉
You are so much fun! Can’t believe you with these 100-word stories…….a gift I will probably never achieve! LOL.
Ha ha! Thanks, Torrie! I’ve no idea where they come from! All ya gotta do is try…I did!
I don’t think I’ve ever even answered a yes or no question in 100 words, Dale! LOL.
Ha ha! If I can do it, anyone can!!! I am a major blabber-uh-finger?
All it takes is some motor-oil to fertilize the sand I guess.
That may just be the secret ingredient!
I am smiling too 🙂
Happy to know that!
Great minds think alike! Very enjoyable.
Seriously! You must be a wonderful guy… 😉
He left out the miracle-gro part…but he’s forgiven. Fun story.
I would normally say we don’t use chemicals but in this case…
Children and their imagination 😉 Thank you for the smiles 😀
Any time!
Saw your comment at Keith’s. I guess my imagination went a bit of a different route to what you had intended 🙂
No kidding! It’s what I love about FF!
Very funny, Dale. Your mind does work in mysterious ways…:)
Hee hee….
LMAO, how marvelous! Dale, I’m overjoyed you decided to go against the grain, and resisted the obvious temptation of participating in Friday Fictioneers, and finally write something factual. This was very funny! 😀
Yes, yes…once in a while one must do something different! Glad you enjoyed!
I did, this was wonderfully funny! ;o)
What would be the correct seed to grow myself a Lamborghini?
Hmmm good question!
Poor Sam. He’s a lost soul.
For some, it is just too hard…😉
Dear Dale,
Better than Jack and the Beanstalk. Even though Sam knows Mark’s pulling his leg, I’m sure there’s a corner of his mind that’s saying, “What if?” Perhaps he’ll plant a hot wheels car of his own. 😉
Shalom,
Rochelle
Exactly! And yes…no giants!
You and Keith should start a farm! I’ll help.
Rosey Pinkerton’s blog
Ha ha! Maybe we should… think the harvest would be good next year?
Funny, and great dialogue!
Thanks, Draliman!!
Super originality to write about a picture familiar to many people.
I’ve never been nor seen this so… 🙂
I guess I was being provincial. I meant people in the US.
No, no…I have travelled some and I could have happened to visit there!
What a novel idea!!!!!!!
Would that not be grand, Roger?
I want a Mazda Spyder Convertible, please. When would be the best planting time?
Hmmm Lemme see… might be a tad more complicated then your standard k-car… 😉
Love the idea of planted hot wheels. Wonderfully crafted.
I’ve seen those cars. They’re real. It’s known as Cadillac Ranch. http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/2220
Thanks Janet! As I’ve read a bunch of the other FF stories, I’ve realized it was a real place. One of the stories mentioned Cadillac Ranch… I was planning on looking it up. Thanks for the link!
I have one of my sons hot wheels, running out to plant it now. I need a car! LOL If only? Loved this!
Wouldn’t that be grand? Let me know how it goes!!
Love the humour in this piece, great stuff.
Thanks, Sally!
Very imaginative and creative take on the picture prompt, Dale. Liked it a lot 🙂
Thank you, Shilpa! Glad you enjoyed!
Haha! So THAT’S how cars are made 🙂
Bet ya didn’t know that, eh?
I love this – very funny 🙂
Thanks…glad you thought so!
Gee, now I must I had planted a toy tractor or backhoe. Wonder what kind of fertilizer he uses–bullshit?
Hah ! I think you may be right!!
Really good use of the prompt Dale, if only it was that easy to grow a car 🙂
Wouldn’t that be grand! 😀
