A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend. How you use the prompt is up to you. Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like. Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise. If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in the comments. Thank you Sammi!
Word Prompt
Crumble
Challenge
Life has challenged me
Maybe more than others
I would not know
I have not crumbled
And stand up tall
Square my shoulders
And move forward
I found love once and can again
I am enthusiastic
For what lies ahead
Life must be embraced
No matter how scary
I’d still rather go out there
And take a chance
Than look back and think
Why didn’t I?
How could I know if I don’t go?
So, to Woodstock I drive
And see what the Universe has planned for me
Square my shoulders
And move forward…
LOVE THAT…

While I liked the squared shoulders, I liked yet more the Woodstock reference.

Namaste Dale 🙂
You sound wholly positive, braced, girded, energised and enthused. So, it’s best foot forward from here on.
‘And see what the Universe has planned for me’ – you have us all eagerly waiting to know more! 😀
Have a wonderful week.
Namaste 🙂

The not knowing is the most daunting part of most ventures. After that, it’s a whole lotta “French toast or frittata?” questions. We are constantly in the middle of the perspective we gain.
Just dive in.

True that. Interesting questions… which will it be? Some don’t seem to bother trying to gain new perspectives, content with the status quo (even when not satisfied…)
Absolutely. Always dive

And as far as frittatas or french toast? Why in the blessed name of Alton Brown don’t people simply look at such a query and exclaim “Both!”
To diving!

Both it is! 🙂
To diving into deliciousness

Dale, it is clear from your writings that you have chosen the path you describe. You are entering a sparkling road with speed bumps that may slow you down but also give you a chance to show your stuff. ❤

Thank you. I have actually attempted a couple of poems lately… that and a particularly descriptive piece – so hard for me!!
Yes, I saw that. I am just getting back from 4 days away, so I’m catching up!

Always experiment and create to what your heart feels when writing poetic brilliance. 🙂

Why thank you, kind sir! (Now check out my cleave poem, if you dare) I have seriously lost my mind attempting poetry when a poet is not what I am!)

See, now I believe I wouldn’t be good at these challenges. I would have written about apple crumble.
However, this, as any challenge you write….that I’ve read, is wonderful.

As far as I am concerned writing about apple crumble would have been a delicious idea….
