Could not resist this one. Shout out to Sammi Cox for hosting this weekly challenge.
A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend. How you use the prompt is up to you. Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like. Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise. If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in the comments.

Very well done – so seemingly simple but so profound 🙂

Thank you, Andrea! Much appreciated…. I actually originally wrote a first one which I realised would work much better with mask rather than shell. So I had to revamp it!

Q,
“I’ll take ‘Literary Limbo Dance’ for a thousand Alex”
“This exclamatory word, most often used in sporting events, best describes what Dale does with a 12 word prompt,”
“What is ‘Scoooorrrreeee!!!!'”
DING! DING! DING!
So you were not content with a hundred and fifty words . . or even a hundred. Nah, you had to go and do it, didn’t ya?! Well . . you didn’t just do it, you DID it girl!
A romantic capture of the heart, in twelve words . . . BRAVA!!!!
Let’s see Frank top THAT! 😉

B,
You kill me! And I love it.
I was gonna try to do an “Alex response” but decided it would be overkill… and knowing us, it could go on for a bit 😉
And thank you for your enthusiasm… so very glad you have graded me “Brava” for this 12-word attempt.
If Frank stops by… Frank? What have you to say for this one? 😉

Q,
I think our back and forth Alex Trebek riff might have gone 1,200 words! Buahahaha!
The enthusiasm happens when the writing is kicking! And there are two A’s in brava, yanno? 😉
And if Frank stops by, give my regards to his Painted Lady!

It just might have…
Love that the writing is kicking enough for Enthusiasm to stop by!
There are. I kinda like that.
And for shizzle he’s gonna find a way to put the painted lady inside a shell 😉

Curb my enthusiasm? I don’t think so! lol
And Frank is gonna try . . but I don’t know . . I’m gonna have to see it to believe it . . .

I shall not even try…
Well, should he stop by, I’ll keep you posted 😉

Pray tell, are you a Cancerian? Only that poem exactly describes those born with the crab large in their profile.

Oh no. Other side of the Zodiac… I’m an Aries…
Now what do you make of that? 😉
LikeLiked by 1 person
It was only the shell that made me think Crab. Though Aries is said to rule the head, and the skull is a shell. Hmm. 🙂

LOL! Love it. And those are my son’s hands (also an Aries) holding that starfish). And yes.. the skull is a shell… Hmmm indeed 😉

Of course, we all know there are no truths in astrology, Yet it can be fun.

True. There are some characteristics that seem to be more prone to certain signs but not an exact sure thing… 😉

My brother totally poo-poos it, Sagitarrian, the far-traveller. Yep, we’ve lost count how many times he’s been round the world, mostly for business. My sister, born under Scorpio, is addicted to gothic whudonits. Myself, Gemini with Aries rising, can’t stop talking about myself! 🙂 Nothing in it.

LOL! Love it! Mick was a Sagi, my younest is a Scorpio and my eldest, like me, an Aries. I have been surrounded by Virgos (I call them DamnVirgos) and they have their own persnicketyness…
Nope… nothing in it all.

Ah, I have a problem with Pisceans. It began with my mother. Then I married one. Got divorced, and blast me if I didn’t marry another. Another divorce, and many years on. Guess what. I married another. That’s it, no more marriage, Then I bumped into a guy 20 years previous I’d had a hell of a crush on. So he was going to be my last one. And so he has been. He died 4 years ago. He was another Piscean. Do you think I picked the wrong ones? Interwoven between these were an unnatural quotient of Virgos. Virgos sit opposite Pisces. Humm. I think I see something here. Yet Pisces attract while Virgos bury me in total boredom. 🙂

Buahaha! My one and only Pisces was my first boyfriend… when I was 16. I can’t do Virgos. They just don’t mesh with me… and Taurus? Never again. Ugh.

I Taurus. I do agree with you. Though female friends of that sign … well, not the best to go clubbing with, but great for practical help.

Yes. They are good workers – thanks to my last guy, my house is for sale… but anything else? Boring.

My sole Taurean was a control and security freak. Yuk. But why does it take us so long to find it? Is it cos we don’t believe in Zodiac signs?

Exactomundo… this one foolishly tried. I didn’t choose him per se, and I had no previous dealings with Taurus, so I tried. And I learnt. ‘Nuff said.

BTW: I have a Cancerian/Scorpio family. Father and 2 daughters: Cancerian. Sister, and third daughter: Scorpio. So, as you can see, I’ve spent my life surrounded by water. But for some strange reason, I just bubble above them. Though they might call me shallow, that’s cos they’re not in my head.
