In the spirit of Christmas and the Advent Calendar that has been revamped and re-purposed in myriad ways, I have decided to do one of another sort. Instead of taking one chocolate per day (or wine or whatever goodie is in vogue) or adding one item into a box to donate for a good cause (a very good thing, indeed) I have chosen to send a little love to my favourite blogs.
Hello, hello, my Readers!
Day 3: Awakening to Awareness
I cannot remember how I came to this particular blog. Suggestion? Saw a comment I liked on another blog then checked him out? Seriously, I cannot for the life of me remember. But that is neither here nor there as I did find Eric Tonningsen’s wonderful blog and must include it. He, too, took time to email me to find out how I was doing. This is a busy guy. He’s a coach, has a podcast, is a professional speaker, writer… and he took time to email me? I never take these things for granted. He is not shy to tell me to write my “Dale” posts as he calls them and not just participate in Friday Fictioneers – which I was doing at one time. I was not overly inspired to write anything else at that time and he encouraged me to continue to put myself out there. Great coach, eh?
His blog is full of insightful, thought-provoking and positive words. He believes in looking for the good, in doing our best and improving our circumstances.
He has been on a sabbatical of sorts and I can’t wait for him to return full-time (if he does; I hope he does). He did pop in, though, for a few posts here and there, the last time being November 3rd, the day before the midterm elections – and I so loved what he shared, that I shared it with a few friends, too! The gremlins at WordPress had decided to have me unfollow him and one day, he left a comment on one of my posts, which made me go see what he was up to. Imagine my surprise at finding out he had been writing but I was getting no notifications. Bad gremlins. All has been rectified. I am just impatiently waiting for Eric’s voice to chime in again 😉
Thanks for the introduction, Dale.

Those WP gremlins. They’ve had me unfollow people, too. It’s good you checked. 🙂

Delightful, Dale… a little blog love. And considering you’ve chosen to share with your readers a gift other than chocolate and wine (can we get those too? 😘) you are well capturing the holiday season’s spirit. I’m truly struggling to return to posting as I miss the valued interaction with you and the amazing WP blogging community. Perhaps a return is in the cards post-surgery in January. Until then, thank you for your kind mention. All love!

So very glad you like, Eric. Of course we can have chocolate and wine too! What a question 😉
You do what you have to do and come back to us “top shape”. We’ll be here.
Lotsa love and good wishes for a prompt recovery after surgery. xoxo

Rotten gremlins! It’s insane how they have swirled up and away much of my WP life. Some, I get back. Some never seem to stick again. I hope Eric gets back up and running very soon!

The WP Gremlins are a sneaky lot! Meanwhile, I visited Eric – and sure does look interesting. I followed – but also read his message above. Wishing him the best with the upcoming surgery.

I’m so very glad you find it so. I didn’t want to simply make a list – that would be easy. I just wanted to slip in a little something for each.
And I am glad you are looking forward to each day!

Your generosity and broad scope of blogging friends is inspiring and encouraging. I’m enjoying your advent posts immensely. (Not just cause I was first on the alphabet list. 😉 )

Thanks for adding Eric Tonningsen from your blog world. I wondered why I hadn’t had notifications from his blog. I looked at my list of blog followings and he’s not there. Gremlins – huh?
Well anyway he’d left a comment on one of my nurturing posts. I popped over and found him inspiring. It isn’t a surprise that he reached out to you. He’s a wonderful person. He’s photo screams that. Hope he gets well quickly from his surgery and comes back to inspire more bloggers.
Great choice 👍 I’m enjoying these, Dale. 😊

I love Eric’s posts, too. Those Gremlins unsubscribed me, too, so it was a delight to get a comment from him and find he was posting again. Sending lots of good energy his way (I see in the comments that he will be having surgery).
