In the spirit of Christmas and the Advent Calendar that has been revamped and re-purposed in myriad ways, I have decided to do one of another sort. Instead of taking one chocolate per day (or wine or whatever goodie is in vogue) or adding one item into a box to donate for a good cause (a very good thing, indeed) I have chosen to send a little love to my favourite blogs.
Day 4 – Breezes at Dawn
My original blogging consisted of going on walks with Zeke while snapping pictures along the way. It was (and still is) one of the ways that I shared myself and my thoughts through my blog.
So, needless to say, when I stumbled upon Robin’s beautiful blog, I felt an immediate connection. Since so many of us are inter-connected in various circles, I shall not even attempt to try to figure out just who introduced me to her 😉 Does it matter, really? I think not.
Her pictures are simply put, gorgeously oustanding. The thoughts she shares during her meanderings are lovely and inspiring, full of joy and well-being. I may have more than once borrowed her idea on inserting quotes to start off my posts.
She celebrates earth and nature and love and peace and I would love to walk with her on her Wabi-Sabi Ranch, to view the sunset from the pier… She always knows what time sunset is.
Her yearly “Walktober” challenge is a great way to see various writers’ habitats. I have participated twice and will surely do so again, should she run it. And why wouldn’t she?
In the spirit of Robin:
“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.”
―
Oh, and her list of 10,000 things that make her happy are going to hit the 1,000, soon. A thing I also tried to emulate but forget…
Thank you, Robin, for being you!
Awwww. Thank you so much, Dale, for everything but especially for being you. I am not sure how we got connected, either (Frank, maybe?
Walktober?), and I agree with you — it doesn’t matter. I would love to join you and Zeke on a walk someday, here at the ranch or up in your neck of the woods.
I love this idea and might borrow it from you next year. 🙂

My pleasure, Robin. And thank you for your you! I keep thinking Frank, Merril… and then, whatevs! The important thing is we are here and now 🙂
A walk anywhere would be lovely indeed!
And do! I sure as heck won’t take offense! 😉

Robin and I have been blog buddies for a long time. Even discovered we grew up in similar part of Ohio. Her photography is outstanding, but she also has a way a delivering a calm voice through her words that go along with the images. I can’t say enough about her! … and I think you (Dale) met her and Merril through me. 🙂

I know you have! She does indeed on both counts.
And we probably did… 😁

Wow, a list of 10,000 things that make you happy? That’s ambitious! But then, every day there’s something, isn’t there? It adds up. What a lovely idea, and what a lovely blogger friend!

I’m not sure what the protocol is for this (being featured) but just wanted to drop back in to say thanks to Dale again, and thank you to everyone who has left such lovely comments about my blog. ❤

How sweet are you? Dunno that there is any protocol per se but I can say that I am very pleased that some have meandered over to your “place” for a visit! Which is wonderful and what I had hoped for. ❤
