Advent Calendar – Day 11

In the spirit of Christmas and the Advent Calendar that has been revamped and re-purposed in myriad ways, I have decided to do one of another sort.  Instead of taking one chocolate per day (or wine or whatever goodie is in vogue) or adding one item into a box to donate for a good cause (a very good thing, indeed) I have chosen to send a little love to my favourite blogs.

Day 11 – Graffiti Lux and Murals AND Queen’s End

Resa McConaghy is one busy woman!  Not only is she a costume designer by day, she is also a photographer, a writer and creates the most gorgeous art gowns, evah!  (Click on her name to go to her website and drool away.  I promise you, you have never seen such magical dresses.)

We follow a few blogs in common – most notably, A Frank Angle and have bantered over songs in his musicals regularly.  I suppose I’ll have to give him credit for this one, too 😉

Queen’s End blog is, I would say, more dedicated to her writing.  Speaking of which, I have her book “Nine Black Lives” downloaded and, when I get a chance to sit down for more than fifteen minutes, will read it.

Where I first got to know Resa is from her Graffiti blog where she shares wonderful street art, not only from her home towns of Toronto and Winnipeg, but from wherever she travels.  Resa will also accept submissions (and I now find myself paying more attention to the ones in Montreal than ever before; determined to one day send her some…) and will share them.

Resa is one creative, sexy, glamourous lady!

    Well, well, well, this is a very nice treat. You are very kind, Dale, especially the part about “Resa is one creative, sexy, glamourous lady!” That shot is almost 5 years old. One day I’ll get a new one where I look older, creative, sexy and glamourous.
    Anyway, many thanks for featuring my hobbies and especially my passion – The Art Gowns.
    It means a lot to me.
