In the spirit of Christmas and the Advent Calendar that has been revamped and re-purposed in myriad ways, I have decided to do one of another sort. Instead of taking one chocolate per day (or wine or whatever goodie is in vogue) or adding one item into a box to donate for a good cause (a very good thing, indeed) I have chosen to send a little love to my favourite blogs.
Day 17 – The Off Key of Life
George is a fun blogger. He’s not the bells and whistles kind of guy. He’s got a little something for pretty much everyone. Anything and everything can make it to a post: The Great American Read book list (which you cannot help but go through and see just how many you have read and annotating those that you know you need to add to your “must-read list”, sharing fun signs, chatting about grand-children, comments on life, politics, whatever. He’s someone you can easily imagine yourself sitting next to in a living room, sipping coffee (or whatever beverage) and chatting about all and sundry.
Before you think he’s all about light and fluffy, let me assure you, there are definitely deeper shares going on. Like many of us writers, blogging is a way to deal with whatever is going on around us or within us and I always feel like I am privileged to be withing his circle.
Not so hard on the eyes this one, eh? 😉
So I took a peep. And found myself on a roadtrip. 🙂

Dear Dale,
George is most definitely easy on the eyes. 😉 I have read some of his posts and subscribe to his blog. Thank you for another advent post. 😀 You are a sweetheart.
Shalom and hugs, friend,
Rochelle

When I googled songs of thanks, it popped up first and I hesitated to use it because… well… you know. 😉

What a fun road trip (on his blog)! I resisted the impulse to look up his list of books to read, though. I have already amassed more books on my wish list than I could probably read in the next decade!

It was 😁
And as for the list (not hid), I was pretty pleased at how many I have read. But oh man… so many on my to read one!

Well, you really do have me blushing now. 😊Thank you, Dale, for your very kind words and for mentioning me on your blog. This is a really special compliment and I appreciate your time and for including me in your advent calendar. I’m so glad I found you when I first started my blog four years ago. You were one of the first blogs I began following and you made it easier for me with your support. From the beginning, your heart, kindness and strength has been an inspiration. Thank you again and yes, I’m still blushing😊

Hey there George! So very glad this got to you 🙂
I appreciate you so wanted to let you know. Only the “good guys” made it to the calendar so… 😉
Blush away and know that you are cherished.
