In the spirit of Christmas and the Advent Calendar that has been revamped and re-purposed in myriad ways, I have decided to do one of another sort. Instead of taking one chocolate per day (or wine or whatever goodie is in vogue) or adding one item into a box to donate for a good cause (a very good thing, indeed) I have chosen to send a little love to my favourite blogs.
Day 22 – Tails Around the Ranch
I’ve been exchanging with Monika over on a few other blogs for a little while and have had some fun exchanges, especially during Frank’s musicals. As his official Maître d’, I’m kinda all over the place and she has a good level of sass so it stood to reason that I mosey my way over into her domain. No regrets there!
Monika and her sidekick Sam, are pet therapists, so there are a lot of shares about the important work they do but no worries, she has a great sense of humour about it and Sam is oh-so patient with her shenanigans, let me tell you. Even letting her call him Knucklehead! Along with her Monday Musings, Nearly Wordless Wednesday or her Nature Friday regular posts, she shares lovely photos and thoughts about all sorts of stuff. The way she writes is the way I imagine a face-to-face conversation would be. Natural, funny and good-natured, with just enough smart-aleckyness to make it interesting!
Just took a look. Thanks for another wonderful introduction!

My, but you are determined to broaden our blogging horizons! So I ventured there. Seems Denver really does the Christmas Lights thing.:)

Well… I am out to spread the love and if that means others horizons are broadened, then, hey! It’s a bonus!! It does seem so, doesn’t it? Meanwhile, I have a whole lotta nothing decorated…

It helps to lift spirits. Much needed at this darkest time of the year. This year I have themed it red. Previous years I’ve favoured gold. T’m sure there’s some psychological signifivance. 🙂

I’m sure there is 😉 Mine is always the same multi-coloured!! 😉

Must be. I dunno that I will ever have a theme… though I do admire those who do!

There’s a certain … release I think I might call it. After all those years, to be just me. Or in your case, just you.

Doesn’t mean I don’t love ’em, of course…

And it’s so funny… I have friends who are all “woe is me” they are leaving… I look at them and think…. really? Then again, diff’rent strokes and if you happy, I happy…

It could be a difference in how we centre our lives. I worked with a woman whose whole life seemed to revolve around her children. All of whom were grown, with families of their own. And it wasn’t that she had no opportunties for other interests.

So very true. I’m of the type that they are part of my life, not MY life…

Indeed; this we do share. Love them, but happy if they’re happy doing their thing. Which they are. 🙂

Awww, I’m seriously blushing. Thank you for including me in your Advent adventures. Finding you and your blog has been such a delight for me, and our various exchanges over Sorryless’ and A Frank Angle’s blogs just makes my day. There’s nothing better than finding someone who’s clever, smart as all get out, takes amazing photos and is able to dish back the sass, girlfriend. You make me smile in so many ways (and drool whenever I see your culinary skills on Instagram). For all these reasons and more, I am extraordinarily grateful. 😍
