Good Wednesday morning, my peeps! I was so hoping this day would bring us blue skies. Nope. Apparently we can’t have mild(ish) and blue at the same time. Oh well. Might as well take this time to write, eh? Thank you, dear Rochelle, for keeping us coming back week after week. And what’s this? Where did you get your hands on this picture, eh?

Ugly Before the Beauty
“Oh my God! What the hell has he done?” Carla leaned closer, trying to see beyond the tape.
“Don’t worry so much. It doesn’t look that bad,” assured Lucia, her head cocked to one side as if a different angle would give a better perspective.
“How the hell am I supposed to see beyond this? Just look at it! It’s a total disaster!” Carla wailed.
“I told you it wasn’t ready yet.”
“He said he would fix it. He said not to worry. He said it wouldn’t show. This is awful!”
“That’s how plastic surgery works. Ugly before the beauty.”
Great ending. I didn’t see it coming. Most entertaining.

That’s how plastic surgery is SUPPOSED to work, but sometimes it turns out badly even if the surgeon does everything right. How the patient heals is the unpredictable part!
Good take… did the door end up more beautiful post-surgery? 😉
Thanks for the photo this week. 😊

Right! SUPPOSED to is the proper work.
I fear not. It shall need to be replaced…
Oh! And you are most welcome!

Ugly before the beauty and pain before the glory. Great one, Dale, I didn’t see that ending coming!

I so love the ending here… you lead me on past the band aids to the real core of the subject…. I hope it will heal properly in the end though.

Great storytelling, Dale! That last line caught us by surprise as we finally figured out what she was so upset about. And we thought it was just a cracked door!

I didn’t see it coming either! You told it so well. What’s the story behind the break? Was that you playing dodge ball in the house again 😉

Boys, eh? Hope they’re helping to pay to have it fixed! 🙂

He’s paying for the new door… I am not so evil as to may him pay for the repair as that would be exorbitant…

We all learn by our mistakes – I’m sure you won’t have any trouble like that again 🙂

I’m definitely hoping maturity is creeping in…

A friend of mine’s teenage son shared an open house on social media while his mum was away for the night. Some rough lads turned up, started trashing the place. The intervention of neighbours stopped the place from being totally wrecked. I did not envy that teenager when his mother got home!

Bloody social media and the dangers of this sort of thing happening!
I would be hard-pressed to not do bodily harm to him… or have it done 😉

To be honest, his mother – who is known for her temper! – said she felt so sorry for him, as he was actually terrified by the whole experience. He did help to pay for the damage though 🙂

I could also imagine that… and yes, he definitely should pay for the damage!
