I promise ya’all, when I have a new house bought and signed for, I shall let go of this obsession… Or will go on and on about my new digs. So, maybe I cannot make any promises, after all! Thank you, Sammi, for giving me reasons to work a little harder!
A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend. How you use the prompt is up to you. Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like. Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise. If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in the comments.
Word Prompt
Seashore
Challenge
Trying not to feel woe is me
Mother, sisters, their families
On a cruise, taking in the sun
While I’m at home, not having much fun
I may feel a little bit sore
Not playing with them by the seashore
But! I might have missed the sale of my house
Now that would be something about which to grouse
Not to worry. I find these things have a way of resolving themselves. Often in just 59 words. 😍

Ya think? That is the best news…😍😘

Dale, how do you manage it, to take a simple prompt and weave life’s interests and problems around it? Yet you do it exceedingly well.

Good to know…. do you predict futures as well?

Only if the futrue reads true. And seldom they do. Too many butterflies in the bays around China. 🙂

Dang… guess I’ll just wait then. 😉

Would you really want to know what the future holds? I believe our inablity to see forward is a blessing. 🙂

Oh hell no. I am just impatient to find out whether I got the house or not!! 😉
LikeLiked by 1 person
Ah, now that’s possibly a permissible prediction. But I would need to see your hand. Any chance you might send it to me, airmail?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Dang. That would be a tad difficult. Will have to wait till I make it across the pond so you can do a “live” reading.

I trust by then your question will be long-since answered. 🙂

That’s good. I find chopped off hands make such a mess of the packaging.

Indeed. But I’m not worried of that cos an ancient witch works there, and I owe her one from the past (though I’m far too nice to ever deliver).

I know, right? Dang it all… I am sore! But I’ll live and I’ll go another time 😉

It is amazing that all of our sale and purchase contract work was done on computer and by phone. We elected to attend the closings but couls have even done those electronically. If I had a better place to go, I would have gone.

Same for me! But the official legal work will be done one person.

Now that’s taking lemons and making lemonade. 😉 Sorry you didn’t get to go. Many hugs coming your way.

Q,
If I may add . . . since you had the constraint of 59 words.
Once settled into the new locale,
You’ll have some loose change and travel you shall.
To dine and wine and dance with glee,
And settle down in Tuscany!
I’ll never be up to these challenges, not like you . . Mistress of Mayhem! Another winnah . . replete with chicken dinnah.

B,
For a supposed “not up the challenge like me” those 28 words are perfection.
You may have to reconsider your self-denial.
MoM – is that my new moniker?
Gracias. Glad you enjoyed 😉

I don’t know about perfection. I think you’re being a tad bit schweet. But I’ll take it. 🙂
Seriously, you are the Challenge Queen. You take a limited number of words and turn it into a novel. You might want to consider running for political office with skills like that.
Never mind. They don’t deserve ya . . .
It can be. You’ve quite a few of ’em . . .
De . . . Nader! Loved it. 🙂

To me, yes, perfection because you went and added my dreams to the poem.. In a most enchanting way so take it.
Aww. Schtopp! Oh hell no. I don’t have the thick skin necessary to be in politics. They’d eat me alive and spit me out.
I do, don’t I?
Glad you did. Really, really.

Well when you put it THAT way . . . 😉
Nope to the second part. And your skin is just fine, it’s called being a human being and not an automaton who does the bidding of donors. Nothing wrong with that.
You do. And they just keep making themselves known . . .
Truly.

I do… 😀
Nope? 😉 Well I do like my skin just fine – so I won’t put it out there to get damaged.
Funny how that happens. And the fact that YOU have given me most of ’em… Coinkidink?
MWAH!

No Coinkidink at all. I own the copyrights just so you know . . .
