Weekend Writing Prompt #117 – Antipathy

A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend.  How you use the prompt is up to you.  Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like.  Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise.  If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in the comments.  Thank you, Sammi!

Word Prompt

Antipathy

Challenge

It’s not in my DNA

I cannot muster sympathy for whining

My tolerance for whinging is nil

Moaning about your life

And doing nothing about it

Is antipathy to me

  1. Dear Dale,

While you might not have patience for a lot of whinging, you’re a wonderful confidante and friend…not to mention a role model in facing adversity. Well written as always.

    Shalom and lotsa hugs,

    • Thank you, Jim! I must apologise for my tardy response. Somehow you ended up in my spam!
Sometimes the idea comes but the word restriction makes me either change ideas or make it work!

  2. Q,

    A…..MEN! Sistah soul.

If you were to cull thirty words out of this one word, you provided the best avenue with which to arrive. No whine, no pine, no woe is me. We’ve got too many peeps like that in the world as it is. There is no more room at the “Pity Me Inn”, so kindly remove your manufactured drama peeps and don’t let the door hit your whiney mopey asses on the way out, thank you very much!

    Perfect, just perfect. 🙂
