Weekend Writing Prompt #144 – Sculpture

A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend. How you use the prompt is up to you. Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like. Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise. If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in the comments.  Thanks, always, to Sammi for this challenge.

The Model

“Pose for me,” the artist demanded.

“But, I’ve never—”

“No experience needed. I will guide you.”

Before she knew it, she was in his studio, dressed in a robe, one shoulder and leg exposed ~ his.

For weeks she sat, felt his touch as he adjusted her robe, listened to his voice, watched him work.

The sculpture done, she marvelled that he had captured a part of her she knew not existed.

  1. Q,

The artist, eh? I wonder if he has one of those wall dividers . . .

This was sexy, I dig the back and forth going on between the artist and the model. It sort of has a 50 Shades vibe to it, if 50 Shades was . . . yanno, sexy instead of puff pastry. Yours is how it’s SUPPOSED to look. Mystery, seductive, romantic . . . all about it! And you supplied it in 71 words. Because of course you can.

As for that sculpture? Do you think it was chilly in there? 😉

  2. You nailed it, Thunder!
I was an artists’ model in my youth. I know the many feelings of being captured by their talents.
I still have many of the drawings/paintings some (esp. the ones who fell in love with me) gave me.
I had a nude sculpture, but my step mom threw it out years ago.
    Le sigh!!!!!

    • Dear Rochelle,

I’m glad you thought so (only wish I had taken a picture of one more like my model 😉)
Omigosh… I laughed. It’s weird because I feel like I had read that one but I guess not as I had not “liked” not commented …

      Shalom and Lotsa model-behaviour love;
