Weekend Writing Prompt #146 – Epoch

A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend. How you use the prompt is up to you. Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like. Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise. If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in the comments.

Thank you, Sammi! So impossible to resist, I’ve done this in the airport!

I do not know why this post won’t allow comments! I can’t seem to fix the issue on the mobile version. If I figure it out… Fixed…

Name It

We give a name to

Each notable event

To mark the periods

In our life

I wonder what

Today’s epoch

Will be called

When I think back

  1. Dear Dale,

Love this. A name for each epoch. I’m sure it will be a good name when you look back on this one. Love the picture. Glad you had time to play. Enjoy your time off.

    Shalom and lotsa hugs,

    Rochelle

    • Dear Rochelle,

Thank you for your patience 😉. And we do, do that, don’t we? Think of your past…

  2. Lovely, in every respect. So, from comments I learned that you are on a boat….. you are such a whirlwind! Have the gr8est time, don’t catch anything and come back in fine health and high spirit. Love you gorgeous. I love silly! Very much so 😍😎

  3. Q,

I’m so glad you decided to go on this adventure. Your whole self needs it more than you know, and you’ll realize it by . . oh . . this evening! LOL.

Epoch is one of those words I never really knew the definition to, believe it or not. It’s strange too, since I knew of it, heard it and read it but yet . . I guess sometimes the word is just enough. But you used it so well in this. As. Per.

    Bon Voyage good thing!

    MUAH!

  4. Cool message in your poem. You made me wonder what my today’s epoch will be. It certainly can’t be that I saved $9 on a can of coffee?
You’re going on a boat? You have a friend with a yacht?
    Have the best time!!!
