Love in the Time of Corona – Friday Fictioneers

That’s it. I broke my vow. I’ve mentioned the C-word in a post – though only in the title so, half bad. I swore I wouldn’t, that’d I’d stay away from all things virus, but once the title got stuck in my head, I was done for.  They do say to never say never, right? In the meantime, thanks go out to Rochelle for hosting this weekly fun-fest and to Jeff Arnold for the permission to use his lovely image.  Do join in on the fun by clicking on the frog below and adding your link.  G’head, you know you wanna…

Love in the Time of Corona

She sat by the window wishing she could be with her lover, while in the background Michael Bublé mocked her.

Birds flyin’ high, you know how I feel…

Yeah, I do. Shut up, Michael.

River running free, you know how I feel…

Speak for yourself. I’m running nowhere.

Butterflies all havin’ fun, You know what I mean

I get it, it’s spring; love and dopamine are in the air.  I’m feeling it, too.  Such a cliché.

As she turned away from the window, she spotted a rainbow and smiled.

It’s a new day…

Sing it, Michael!

And I’m feeeeeeeling goooood.

  1. I felt like I wanted to start a dance line of Rockettes to that song. LOL
Well, you folded. Yes, you did. Now, go in the corner and be ashamed, very ashamed. LOL Yes, Spring does bring out the romantic in us. It’s all that new growth in the gardens and the birds singing. Aaahhhh … it’s not going to be the same so enjoy the memories.
