Weekend Writing Prompt #157 – Fade

A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend. How you use the prompt is up to you. Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like. Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise. If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in the comments.  A new year of new prompts that will not be less than ten nor more than one hundred and everything in between.  Thank you, Sammi!

It transforms from superficial to real

Glow emanates from inner light

    • Dear Rochelle,

I worried I was going the “expected” route 😉 I seriously doubt yours would have.

      Shalom and lotsa bright love,

    • Hehehe… I hope not. Unless you’re some kind of “out there” performer à la Prince or David Bowie; or an actor in a play, it’s a good thing to leave the makeup on the counter!

  1. Ah, Dale, what a lovely way to use seventeen words – I like the sentiment very much. I do also admit to also being happy that my latest supply of Touche Eclat has just arrived from Amazon, since these days I need a little bit of help now and then 😉

    • Ahh, Jilly, so very glad you like. I. Have taken out the bag holding my dye paraphernalia from when my hairdresser when through cancer treatment. I’m still deciding if I let my streak shine (coz I’ve discovered all the “silver highlight” is concentrated in one section. Not sure yet if I think it’s cool or it has to go!

Growing old is a dubious thought to be certain, but you made it look beautiful with this poetic sojourn. And, this time in only seventeen words. Which makes you the last word on these challenges that fuse brevity with beauty.

My take would be “What the hell happened to me?” Which ain’t Shakespeare . . or seventeen words. So there’s that.
