A word prompt to get your creativity flowing this weekend. How you use the prompt is up to you. Write a piece of flash fiction, a poem, a chapter for your novel…anything you like. Or take the challenge below – there are no prizes – it’s not a competition but rather a fun writing exercise. If you want to share what you come up with, please leave a link to it in the comments.
Another trip down memory lane. It took me almost a year-and-a-half to have my family over so I could share with them what I had learned with Cook in Tuscany in September 2016 – the full account of the soirée can be found here but these 33 words somehow triggered, though have nothing to do with at all! Funny how the muse works.
Wrangled up the necessary ingredients
To make a Tuscan feast to be shared
Invitations sent and accepted
A fun time, expected
With great company, delicious food, divine wine
And some friendly wrangling, unavoidable
It is funny what triggers memories. This seems like a fun and delicious one!

I had to use wrangle in the two different definitions and well… I dunno what happened! IT was a very delicious one and besides the pork, you could have eaten the rest 😉

I’ll call this one “The Wrangler of Dalectable Delights Done Dynamically”.
Is that too much? Not enough? Is that perfect? Hmmmm? Huhhhh? Hmmmm?
Well, regardless, this was a well tossed selection of your thirty three words worth of a meal. The right ingredients, the innate sense of how much here and just right there with a pinch of that flair, that flair I was talking about earlier in regards to the deep dish pizza. And now it hits me why I thought about it that way. Because you’ll probably add a Tuscan flair to your deep dish pie, that’s why!
Wrangle up that Mangia!

B,
I love it…
Nope. Perfect!
So very glad you enjoyed my toss-up of thirty-three words meant to bring maybe a soupçon of a desire to wish you were there, so to speak… Flair, eh? Then that does give me incentive to try even harder…
I’ll be wrangling it up for shizzle!

Perfect? Good! No, wait . . perfect!
I can taste it all, and I have enjoyed much of this flair that I speak of, quite a lot in fact. Tuscany, Montreal, Wherever it’s been from it’s been spot on deliciousness.
G’head. I’m sure the results will lead to ever tastier conclusions.
I had wrangle all wrong. Or was it all right?

Hah! Okay… Perfect it is.
Now that’s saying something. And I thank you.
I’ll let ya know. Maybe even tease you with some pics.
It’s one of them thar words that we think one thing and then wonder… I know I did. I had a decided idea on what it mean, surprised to find the original definition!

Remember Wrangler jeans? They’re still a thing, I think.

Too kind.
😉 Maybe one day you’ll get lucky.
I do! And they are! (Course, I had to check before I answered…)

And Booyah to that! Although I don’t think Imma go back to Wranglers, truth be told.

Mmm hmmm.
Indeed.
No. They never did suit my particular form.

I have moved a particular favorite of mine (jeans) to the “retired” list. Meaning I can still wear them to tool around but they have too many holes in em for anything more than that.

Wranglers? Or something else? And yeah, I think most of us try to keep that one special pair. I finally chucked mine.

No Goodfellow. They did well for me but have come to the end of their road. But I won’t part with them just yet.

Never heard of ’em. Probably more for men, anyhoo. And I get it. I really do.

There always seems to be a wrangle or two. The was a lot of great looking food. I don’t expect much wrangling was over the food.

mmmmmmh – I love everything Italian (except their politics) – and know that we, the Swiss, have early on adopted Italian’s cuisine of the poor – with ingredients coming from nearby, we had ‘Virgin’ olive oil, green and thick directly from the family’s estate in Southern Italy – I was treated to the gift of a large bottle of it for looking after this neighbours’ plants and flowers during their Agosto absence…. etc. Only their bread I can do without – I have a biscotto instead… or three!

Me too! But I do love their bread as well…

Really? Those tasteless, colourless panini, just some white flour, water, salt ….. now you disappoint me Dale, you of such great talent, cooking skills, and fine taste buds? Ruined them with too much cheap vino rosso? (just joking, obviously)

Not all their bread is tasteless!! Funny lady with acid tongue this day. 😉

it’s called quick witted, not acid tongued…. and I want to point out that I’m always hugely grinning when I write something as outrageous as this – but it’s NEVER meant to be acerbic or put you in a bad place. Sorry …. we don’t really know each other – ’cause if we did, you’d just laugh, as I do.

Whew! Just so thankful my dinner is almost ready, or I’d be in the fridge playing Godzilla Guts!
PS., dear ⚡️💥 I can’t see the word wrangle in any form or declension w/o thinking about Wrangler Jeans. Got my first jeans & jeans jacket set in powder blue when I was 12. Egads I was cool.

And they are great memories that I can’t wait to repeat one day.
I hear you. I was trying to remember if I ever bought a pair but if memory serves, they didn’t suit my shape. You musta been more than cool in your powder blues!
