No Go – Crimson’s Creative Challenge #124

Went through some of my pictures and came up with an idea to go with Crispina’s picture. Then the idea didn’t really go anywhere, so I decided to, once again, piggyback onto Na’ama’s lovely story.  Consider it part two to her part one. Found here. Crispina says we are to have fun, fun, fun… so I did, did, did!

No Go

“Aaron.  What the hell are you doing?”

“Well, Ella, I’m helping to ‘make it work’ as you said when we got here. I know the stairs are steep and I know they are rotted but you know it’s just a question of time before some curiosity seekers decide to risk it.  While those who do not know the path won’t find it from below, I figured I’d add a little extra deterrent to those who come from above.”

“I have to admit it’s quite something. The flowers are a nice touch, too.  You’re not worried it almost looks inviting?”

“Nah.  I figure people will admire my structure, wonder what it used to be, take some pictures and keep on hiking.”

“Let’s hope there aren’t others out there who are more inclined to explore…”

“Now who’s being a Negative Nelly?  Don’t worry, we are gonna be fine.”

  1. Ah, brilliant!! I’m glad Aaron got over his deer in headlights stage. I knew he had more gumption than it might have appeared in part one… 😁😉 And… Yeah, some deterrent is not a bad thing, given their circumstances…

That SHOULD be a truly effective deterrent to any pain in the ass curiosity seekers looking to snoop around the premises but yanno . . there are certain individuals, who shall remain nameless who might find it to be an invitation.

Not naming names, but the fact it’s more difficult to explore means they consider it an added level of privacy once they’re inside. 😉

    • B,

      It SHOULD… and don’t I know there are those…

Of course not. Don’t ever name names … and certainly not ones that start with D because you know there would be no way that. uh.. well.. right. No names!

      • I’m not saying I know any of these people. Of course, I’m not saying I DON’T know any of these people either . . .

I mean, let’s say . . hypothetically and such, that this person whose named started with D saw a sign that said something to the effect of “Keep Off” and her . . I mean, this person’s reaction was “Oooooh!”.

It could happen, all I’m saying.

        And uh, I was never here . . .

        • No, no, of course you’re not. You are smart to keep yourself in the middle…

Hypothetically, of course. And, uh, I don’t know what you’re talking about but should you know that type of person, what to do?

I suppose it could, I imagine.

          Nope. You were not…

  3. Dear Dale,

I hope Aaron’s right. There’s always the curiosity seeker. But I think Ella will take care of any of those. Good chapter 2 to Na’ama’s chapter 1.

    Shalom and lotsa hugs,

    Rochelle

    • Dear Rochelle,

Let’s just say it’s a good thing he’s picked up his socks so to speak and help out a little 😉.

Shalom and lots of festive hugs,

      Dale
