Close Encounters

“Yo, Zit-Face!  Wait up!”

“That you Jelly-Belly?”

“In the flesh! Well, what’s left of it.”

“I almost didn’t recognize you!  You look amazing!”

“As do you, my friend.  And your face no longer looks like a neon pimple factory.”

“Tell me about it.  Talk about a hellish time.  Except for you, high school sucked.”

“I have so missed you.”

“Me too.  You in town for long?”

“I’ve moved back.  Turns out Mr. Fantastic wasn’t quite up to par.”

“I coulda told you that… but I won’t.’

“Appreciate that.  So tell me. what’s new?”

They linked their arms, “Where to start…”

    • Dear Rochelle,

I am very glad it made you smile. We do. Well, we sorta do 😉 Glad you found it delightful.

      Shalom and lotsa reuniting love,

I cannot and would not relate to the catching up part of the equation, but as for the clever banter and the even more clever insults being hurled around . . in the name of friendship and camaraderie, THAT is exceptional.

And who knows? All these unexplained flying objects in the sky lately might be the prelude?

  2. WelI, this one had ME doing some time- traveling! I have good memories of high school, but I know it wasn’t so for everyone. It always pleases me to hear a real-life story of a late bloomer who put the bad memories behind him.
