Limoncello Instead

 

I’ve a zest for life, this is true

Life’s thrown me a lemon or two

 

Woe is me

I’ll never be

 

I’ll not turn sour and bitter

With vodka and zest

A time to rest

I will have a delicious elixir

  4. Nothing like a little zest in live and your vodkaf…kaf,,,ka. Zest is such a pain to scrape from lemons, but it does add life to whatever you put it in or on.

  14. Ha! Sounds delicious! I love lemons, they’re one of my favourite smells. They get a bad rap. I wouldn’t know how to make this but I can bring the vodka to get it started… 🙂

    To the bummer you’ll scream summer, and leave them to whither and whine. And not for nothing, but while they whine, you’ll wine. Not that beer is a bad alternative, and let’s face it, you can’t go wrong with bourbon. But gin has its place, according to Ole Blue Eyes. And if not that, tequila . . because George Clooney ain’t need to convince you of that.

    And when all else fails? Moonshine! Apple Pie, of course.

    Nice sprint through forty-one. Very zesty.

  22. Excellent …. As soon as I saw the theme, limoncello immediately came to my mind – and then you came through! Yes – it is an elixir! As a matter of fact, i should be bottling my latest batch this weekend. Gotta have it for summer!

    The WP Gnomes got me. No wonder I wasn’t receiving notifications of your posts – they changed my settings! Grrrrr …
