Earlier this week, Ally Bean of the Spectacled Bean revisited a prompt she had first done in 2011.  Said 1/3 of her responses had remained the same but that time had given her a new perspective, if you will.   I figured why not?  Interesting subjects…

If I were a month I’d be October

If I were a day I’d be Sunday

If I were a time of day I’d be Twilight

If I were a font I’d be Georgia

If I were a sea animal I’d be a Dolphin

If I were a direction I’d be be Up

If I were a piece of furniture I’d be a Mirror

If I were a liquid I’d be Gin

If I were a gemstone I’d be an Emerald

If I were a tree I’d be a Weeping Willow

If I were a tool I’d be a Level

If I were a flower I’d be a Sunflower

If I were an element of weather I’d be a Light Breeze

If I were a musical instrument I’d be a Cello

If I were a colour I’d be Orange

If I were an emotion I’d be Joyful

If I were a fruit I’d be a Pear

If I were a sound I’d be a Bubbling Stream

If I were an element I’d be Fire

If I were a car I’d be a Comfortable Sedan

If I were a food I’d be Pasta

If I were a place I’d be a Cottage with a wrap-around porch

If I were material I’d be Cotton

If I were a taste I’d be Spicy

If I were a scent I’d be Petrichor

If I were a body part I’d be a Heart

If I were a song I’d be Jazz/Blues/Soft Rock Mix

If I were a bird I’d be a Chickadee

If I were a gift I’d be Just right

If I were a city I’d be Not too big, with lots of green spaces and farmer’s markets stalls

If I were a door I’d be Solid wood, painted bright red

If I were a pair of shoes I’d be Hiking boots

If I were a poem I’d be a Cadralor

Twilight

 

Wonder if my answers would change in ten years’ time?  I think many probably would…

  1. Interesting. I have similar answers to several, but I don’t know if that’s because I like them and agree with you, or if I would have come up with different answers on my own. Cadralor definitely. 🙂

  7. Oh this is fun. I love Weeping Willows and Sunflowers, plus Petrichor is a wonderful scent. I’m not familiar with Cadralor so of course I’m going to follow your link and learn about it. I’m glad you did this and thanks for the shoutout. Happy Monday!

    I couldn’t get past “If I was a food, I would be a bag of potato chips and eat my whole damn self and then keel over in a lesson to my undisciplined self,” so yanno . . brava!! For nailing this in a much more eloquent fashion than that. And umm, thank you for nailing it in a much more eloquent fashion than that.
