The Teahouse
“I’m taking you to La Chartreuse Tea House”, said Daniel.
“In the Plateau?” I asked.
“Yes, they serve fabulous cakes… wonderful place. The girls are dressed in long dresses as if from another era. It’s a lovely ambiance.”
He was right: classical music, soft lighting, low murmurs. We were handed a menu. “You can see on the left, all the types of teas. And on the right, the different cakes.” The waitress then proceeded to list the main ingredients in each cake.
“Wow!” I exclaimed. “How to choose?”
And so started my teapot collection. A dream now collecting dust.
