Advent Calendar – Day 18

In the spirit of Christmas and the Advent Calendar that has been revamped and re-purposed in myriad ways, I have decided to do one of another sort.  Instead of taking one chocolate per day (or wine or whatever goodie is in vogue) or adding one item into a box to donate for a good cause (a very good thing, indeed) I have chosen to send a little love to my favourite blogs.

Day 18 Roughwighting

Pamela Wight is a wonderful storyteller – she does, after all, teach creative writing.  Not even gonna bother trying to figure out how she came to my in-box – because, really, how important is it, anyhow?  The fact is, she is here and I enjoy each and every post.

When she is not sharing some slice of life or writing process or event, she gives us “chapters” in an on-going story.  Leaves us hanging and then challenges us to figure out the next part, winner getting a copy of her ebook.  Fun stuff!  It is fascinating to read allllll the comments and thoughts and ideas on what’s next – her readers have quite the imagination, lemme just say.  We didn’t have to wait too long for the next chapter to show up and let us know who the winner(s) was (were).  (No, wasn’t me.)

Her latest two-parter was most enjoyable as well.  I loved where she took it.

I have noticed that more than a few peeps I follow also follow her – good sign, no?  Seeing Roughwighting in my in-box means I shall be treated to a wonderfully written story of some kind – another with published books to look into.  Bloody hell my list is ever expanding!
